Hi everyone,
New owner of a 2016 Ranger 25SC with a Volvo D3 150hp and would like some intelligence on how many hours folks are using before replacing the impeller and also the belt while I’m asking.
Thanks in advance.
Paul

I didn't have a diesel, but on my Albemarle the Volvo impeller would start showing wear after 100 hours and they had it on the maintenance schedule for every 100 hours.

As for the belt, I carried two spares. Only replaced it if wear was showing and then I'd put the second spare where it would be easy to put on if needed.

I change the impeller annually, which is about 200 hours.
Volvo recommended for my boat is 24 mo/400 hrs.

Same as Gary - 24mo/400hrs per Volvo but I change it yearly

I guess I am not the role-model of maintenance timing, but I replaced the impeller in 2018 at 948 hours. It looked perfect and the mechanic doubted my assertion that it was the original impeller. That is on a 2015 R25sc w/ D3-150.

On our 2015 R31 we change the impeller at 200 hour intervals and it always looked fine at changeover.

Thanks everyone… how bout where people are purchasing pets for the D3?

I replace mine at around 200 hours or 2 years which is the same thing. Impellor looks like new so I have a spare. Far as pets go my new Llewellin puppy was born Monday. SE Iowa, better get on the list takes about 2 years to get one. I am to pick him/her up May 29. The old one turned 13 March one, so I guess it was time .
