Ok I have a dumb one. When settings the gallons onboard of fuel I have to use American gallons as the base settings right? 180 gallons US vs 150 gallons Imperial. Can the Volvo Penta display be changed ?

I would just calculate how many imperial gallons I need based on how many US gallons on the display. That way, when I return home I don’t have to change it again. I guess it might depend on how long I’m in Canada.

The setting is either us gallons or liters. No imperial gallons setting. Pretty much what you will see in Canada. Ive never seen a pump in imp gallons in Canada.

Not asking about reading at pumps but what you use as a input in boat. Does the boat only use standard gallon or can it be adjusted to imperial gallon?

Tom, as a hint, you may find the fuel level reading on the Volvo gauge inaccurate. It is reading from the float in the tank. There are several posts on this question if you do a search. Some, including me with our RT25 SC have found the most accurate reading is obtained by filling the tank and entering that data on your Garmin. You can set 'fuel remaining', either in USG or liters, on your Garmi screen. When adding fuel later, simply note the amount added on the Garmin. Garmin takes the fuel consumption data direct from the engine.

I remember them at Gorge Harbor, not to far back in time..
