For you iNavX users, I've been using iNavX on my iPhone & iPad as a backup to our Garmin chartplotter. We are heading to the Canadian Gulf Islands for the first time next week (from USA). In iNavX's chart store, one offering is iNavX Professional+ USA and Canada for $49.99. The general info. write-up for this chart package states that "The chart sources are based on ENC and additional sources published by NOAA, CHS, and other providers. iNavX Professional+ USA & Canada Chart is updated periodically in cadence with NOAA and CHS ENC updates."
Canadian CHS chart packages are also available for purchase, but they are significantly more expensive. For example,the purchase price for CHS chart package RM-PAC02 - Vancouver Island East is $119.99 (one-year subscription). There is really no info. on that chart package, other than the individual chart numbers it includes.
Do any of you iNavX users know why there is such a price discrepancy, if the USA + Canada package already includes all of the CHS charts for all of Canada? Could the CHS package perhaps include both Raster and ENC (vector) charts where the USA + Canada package only includes the ENC charts?
I've reached out to iNavX support, but I've not heard back yet, and would like to go ahead with a purchase.
