We are considering cruising the Inside Passage in 2021 and wonder if there are others interested in going together. We would like to start at Anacortes and do overnights at Vancouver, the Sunshine Coast, Desolation Sound, the Broughtons, and various locations on the route north. Returning south, we’re thinking Johnstone Strait, Campbell River, Nanaimo, Ladysmith, and back through the San Juans to Anacortes.
There are several caveats that affect our planning: We need to be back by early August so would probably want to leave Anacortes in May. The other consideration is that we will be cruising with four small dogs so will, more than likely, opt for overnights at marinas, fuel docks, etc. because it’s so much easier than dinghy runs at night — especially if it’s raining. Those wanting to anchor out could easily link up with marina overnighters the next day.
An earlier post here on the forum is suggesting an Alaskan rendezvous in late July so that could also be dialed into the trip for some.
For those interested in going together, know that we are not setting ourselves up as leaders or program directors. There are plenty of resources that can be tapped and collectively discussed as we prepare for the trip. Sue and I simply want to know if there are others interested in going together.
