I want to install air conditioning on my R-21EC and be able to use it while underway and while docked. I have a 2000w gen.
I know there are lots of posts on this topic but I have yet to see an option that would work for what I want on this particular boat.
I would prefer to have it professionally installed in the AFT hatch much like an RV. Is that possible? Has anyone done this or at least seen it done?
I've looked around quite a bit. I'm not interested in a thru hatch a/c. I want something more permanent, can be used underway, or at least something that's a one man job.
I've explored portable a/c units that vent out the window. Guess I could make that work but going to sacrifice most of my cockpit. This is however my most feasible option right now and I've been finding several 'ultra-compact' models that may work.
I also saw a post where someone upgraded the existing a/c but that required existing drainage which I don't have.
I'm determined to figure this out and would love to hear about RC-21EC owners that have found a solution for a/c. Anyone?
