Installing Auto Pilot

I am going to put a Garmin Auto pilot onto Sea Dragon. Are there any "tips" that will help with the install? Could I get any pictures or diagrams of how the hydraulic pump is installed on other 25 Ft Tugs. Any advice - help - greatly appreciated. Andrew - When are you coming to San Diego buddy????

Some have placed their pump outboard of the helm (behind & below the thruster & engine control levers). I am installing a RM S1000 and that approach looked too difficult for my do-it-yourself capabilities. I am installing mine in the berth cabin below the access door. At least if I get a leak I will know it soon. The OEM hoses provided with the S1000 do not allow it to be located very far away. Also, as an alternate some people will "Tee" the hydraulics directly into the rudder ram rather than helm pump. That would require longer wiring but could allow easier location of pump.

The pics are great and answered some nagging questions I had before starting the project. I have the detailed instructions Andrew sent as a file and can share by email if wanted.
