Insurance question

As I was reviewing my insurance premium that I received in the mail a few days ago I noticed that they had given me a Diesel Discount. So I was wondering for those of you that have gone to the more refined fuel side of the house (gas), have you seen your insurance go up in price more than the normal gouging that occurs every year? If so what was the difference/extra expense for getting to the dock be for me? Just wondering. Bob

I just recd my annual premium notice (boat US) and had a $100 reduction in premium due too no claims and a reduction in my hull deductible for the same reason. They added some limited towing coverage for "free". I can't complain.

From what I can see Maine insurance companies offer a discount for diesel fueled boats because of lower risk of property damage because it is less flammable /explosive.
