Inverter charger

Anyone had a problem with Truepower Combi 2500QS overcharging and not turning off?
Inverter works fine, but cannot shut charger off and it goes over 15 V.
Nothing in Truepower manual.
Boat is a 2014 R31CB built in late 2013.

Hi Bill,

That would require a bit of investigation on a test bench. I don't have access to the specs at the moment, but that should be out of range for the voltage. The internal regulator circuit may be malfunctioning. Hope this helps.

Try contacting Promariner tech support. About a year ago I had issue with a new (replacement) inverter/charger. The tech support person was competent and knowledgeable. We were able to resolve the issue. My memory tells me
I had to leave a message with them, but they did indeed call back.

They no longer sell or support this model. Drat!

Bill, I'd advise replacing it with a Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger. I had the 2500 in my Cutwater C30, and It was nothing but a nuisance. I swapped it with the Kisae Abso 2000w inverter charger that's found in a lot of other CW/RT models.

Already replaced with Kaise PSW. Just would like to fix old one. Shame no one supports products long.
