I have a 2020 Ranger tug and I am working on installing a KISAE 2000 watt pure sine wave inverter.

I have the installation wired up with a disconnect switch, & fuse per MFG. specs on the DC positive input, and the recommended grounding. MFG specs have been followed for all of the wire GA. and lengths.

The inverters AC output is connected to the inverter breaker in the A/C power panel and the inverter powers up and will power equipment from the outlet on the face of the inverter. There are no fault codes on the inverter display.

I did not hook up the AC input from the Shore power to the inverter as I do not expect to be using the inverter transfer functions and did not think it was needed. My problem is I am getting a reverse polarity alert when I engage the inverter CB on the Ships A/C panel.

I am not familiar with the reverse polarity sensor system and have not been able to diagnose the reason for this fault. any suggestions ?
