A paper copy of "Moby Dick" in a ziploc bag:
- to keep your mind occupied (Positive Metal Attitude is a primary Survival Tool)
- to consider yourself lucky
- to have firestarter
- other uses for paper as may arise

And a Wilson:

to have something to talk to

1) A box of 55-gallon black garbage bags. Solar still, shelter, clothing, rain gear, cooking vessel (instead of banana or ti leaves), water container, food container, rescue flag, etc, etc.
2) Knife of any kind.
3) My glasses. To see, start a fire, signalling mirror.

Sat Phone/EPIRB and a bottle of rum for the wait.
