Ivory mesh? What is this??

Looks like a sun shade to me.

Your picture looks like the sunshade that goes over the skylights in the top of the boat. My R29 has two of them one for each side.

It is a sun screen. We attach them to our bimini to shade or diffuse the sun coming in to the cockpit.

Looks like Phifertex sun shade. Blocks out most sunlight but lets a little in and makes a great wind screen as well. Very durable too. I had one made that I can move to any side of the cockpit depending on conditions. GF

thanks all - I'll experiment with it. Since I have the fly bridge and it has a bimini / full canvas and eisenglass enclosure, they skylights are mostly covered. Perhaps I can devise a use for it in the cockpit, but might not work given the shape.

Did you also find two metal poles? I have seen Cutwaters with a cockpit shade attached to the edge of the roof and with the stern corners attached to two poles placed into the rod holders.

I haven't found those yet, but will look around! Have barely had the boat 24 hours :-D

They also do a good job of keeping fir needles and leaves off the boat when trailered--the water runs through unlike a tarp. I have one from by last boat if anyone wants one.

Ranger 23 has an option for a sunshade to attach to the back Bimini with a zipper on the edge of the Bimini and two poles to the back transom holes… They may have an similar option for your C30. It looks like a simple effective to extend the Bimini w/sunshade over the full back cockpit.
Ps I am actually looking for my Ranger23.. two months ago one from the factory (w/2pole)…not sure when it will come in..
