Our Cutwater 28 (2012) came with a Jabsco Lite Flush Toilet, which the crew plugged on our first trip home. An old shop vac was sacrificed to empty it, and still it would not flush out. In Canada a new toilet is C$1250, and the flush pump part is $650, "there are no repairable parts in the flush pump mechanism" said the Jabsco manual.
When I disassembled the toilet, a broken Gates powerbelt appeared as cause of malfunction. An internet search found GATES GT3 270 3MGT18754218DS available from beeline.uk, but they had a minimum order of 10 belts. I ordered on Thursday, on Saturday I got a call from a import broker, and on Monday morning a knock on the door with delivery. So I am keeping 2 belts for spares. If you see "the Corinthian" in the Salish Sea, Desolation Sound or the Broughtons this summer, and want to fix your own toilet, you can have a belt for $20.
