I hope everyone has had a great start to boating season! We had such a fun time meeting with folks at our Poet's Cove and Ganges cruise. This month with Independence Day, our Desolation Sound Cruise and the Broughtons Community Cruise, there's a lot to look forward to!

Since we missed June's contest, we're starting July's contest off with a bang! There will be TWO winners this month, so that means two lucky contestants will receive a pair of custom embroidered Ranger Tugs or Cutwater Boats jackets.

This month's theme is: celebrations/special events onboard your boat. -- Whether it's a birthday, anniversary, 4th of July display, or any other holiday/event/memory that's special to you, we want to see how you celebrate onboard your Ranger Tug or Cutwater Boat!

The contest starts today and runs until 5:00PM PST, July 26th.

To enter send your photo and a comment or description to: briandickhaut@rangertugs.com

Thanks again for joining in the contest, I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Getting us off to a great start is Curt J.

"Checking in from Juneau Alaska. Here is our entry for the July photo contest.

We are currently on a 60 day journey from Whidbey Island to Glacier Bay and back via the inside passage. Here is a photo of us celebrating our reaching the northernmost point of our trip. Above 59 degrees north. We are in front of Margerie Glacier, Tarr Inlet in Glacier Bay National Park. We celebrated later that evening with a cocktail made with iceberg ice."

"This photo was a celebratory send off for the Round the World Clipper race that stopped in Elliott Bay. I had families of some racers on board to see them off. Elliott Bay is actually one of my favorite locations. I keep Daisy there, and it’s always full of activity. I love the feeling of home I get when I come round the point and see the bay."

"It’s not always desolate in Desolation Sound. Each year in early August and everyone gathers in their dinghies for a great afternoon floating concert. A little sound in the Sound."

From the Schnack Family:

"This photo is of the first birthday cake my husband baked for me on our new Ranger R27. He's baked two more since then, but the first birthday we celebrated on our new boat was the most special. "

"After a few days of fireworks and 4th of July activities, we headed to Seattle for a Saturday evening Mariners game, fish -n- chips, and fun. Oh, and the Mariners won! P.S. unbeknownst to us it was WSU Cougar Group Night (notice our flag)"

Here's a few pics from our club's Annual Powerboat Rendezvous in June. This year's theme was Kentucky Derby and we all had fun decorating our boats as well as dressing for the occasion. Great weather, tasty food and beverages, live music and fun people made this a memorable celebration.

"July 4th was the start of crabbing season for us in Edmonds, WA.

We set sail to our favorite crabbing area on July 4th and dropped our pot. Several hours later we returned
to retrieve our pot with the whole family onboard - especially the grandkids.

T’was a great day to celebrate the 4th."

"We enjoyed July 4th on our R27 Tug and the wonderful Lake Michigan water.

My brother got a nice picture as we came back in the channel of Grand Haven Michigan.

This is off the back of Smidgen, enjoying the channel and light house of Grand Haven!"

From Lisa C.

"We participated our first RT factory trip to Desolation Sound in 2016. That trip happened to fall on the same timeframe as my daughters 10th birthday. We arrived in Gorge Harbor with her birthday on July 25. She loves dinosaurs, and they invaded our boat!"
