Jump Seat

Anyone have problems/solution on their RT29 or similar when the open/close the jump seat across from the pilot seat. There is not enough clearance to the teak table and as a result they both grind one another. In 1 year of ownership my seat has developed a tear, due to this incorrect installation. It also drives the wife nuts that it’s such a PIA to open and close the seat that she uses.

The table moves. There is a lever under the table on the other side.

We must have a different model, on ours there are just the two hinges.

We have a 29 and the jump seat comes with a centimeter of hitting the folded table. It works but every time I wonder if it will hit/scratch when I fold the seat down. If it is installed incorrectly by less than a couple centimeters it probably doesn't fit.

You could purchase a smaller jump seat but that's $$ and a hassle.

On the underneath of the table, at the top of the pedestal, there is a lever that you can pull to move the table. The table moves toward the cockpit. We have a 2011. Our table does not fold.
