Hi all!

June's photo contest is going to be a fun one!

The theme this month is inspired by our latest As the Prop Turns webinar, hosted by Jim and Lisa Favors (of trailertrawlerlife.com). In this episode Jim and Lisa discuss their top 5 favorite destinations in the US and Canada.

The theme this month is: "Far away from home" - that is, show us a photo of your boat at the farthest point you've ever ventured from your home port. We'd love to hear about the story of your adventure along with the photo as well.

I can't wait to see what you all come up with.

If you're not familiar with our Tugnuts Monthly Photo Contest, every month we give away a pair of custom embroidered Ranger Tugs or Cutwater Boats jackets! Each month has a new theme and entry in the contest is simple, just email your photo and a description or comment to briandickhaut@rangertugs.com and at the end of the month we'll hold a vote here at the factory to select the winner. If you win, we'll announce it here on Tugnuts and send you an email to arrange delivery of your free jackets.

"Attached is my photo submittal for June 2020 from a trip that I had done with my Cutwater C26 from Ottawa, ON to Kingston, ON along the historic Rideau Canal system. Distance one way is approximately 125 miles and took 3.5 days."

We only planned to stay one night, but the beauty - even after dark - kept us for a second. The night sky looked like diamonds against black velvet and you can see the daytime beauty in the picture. We can’t wait to go back."

"It’s a long cruise for us from Olympia to the Broughtons, the farthest we have ventured on our R27 Classic. Kwatsi Bay is a favorite stop of ours, where we have enjoyed warm hospitality and making friends with boater’s from all over the world in a very remote and peaceful wilderness setting. Boating doesn’t get any better than this!"

"Just a fun pic that has nothing to do with Ranger Tugs other than it was taken from the cockpit of a R-25 Classic.
The June 2020 trip to Venice, Italy in Our Journey was by far the furthest we have been from home.
Reality check - this photo was taken today at Gig Harbor, WA as we cruise around looking for interesting new-to-us alternatives to cruising in Canada. Gig Harbor is only 450 miles from home so it’s as close to home as we have ever gone cruising!"

"We bought into the Ranger Tugs family last year when we bought our 2020 R-23 from Pocket Yachts in Maryland. We absolutely love the boat and despite the very unfortunate COVID-19 times, we have managed to take our R-23 out to it’s most ‘far away destination’ to date, it was about a 70-mile journey away from our home port in Woodbridge, VA. This picture was taken at Coles Point Marina, where we spent an extended weekend to escape the mundane daily grind.

I just want to commend Ranger Tugs for building an absolutely beautiful boat at an affordable price. Most impressive is the support from the factory. I cannot think of another brand that will pick up the phone on a weekend to answer a technical call - yes, that was your very own Andrew Custis! When the time comes, maybe someday, we would be able to upgrade to an R-27, that is how much we love Ranger Tugs."

"I’d like to submit this photo of my 2019 R23. While the season was delayed slightly this year, Lost Together launched for the 2020 season on June 13th. This picture of LT was taken at her slip at the National Yacht Club on Lake Ontario on a beautiful blue sky summer day a couple weeks ago. It’s going to be a great season.

I bought the boat last year from Port Boat House (a great group btw!), and brought it into the club mid-August 2019. The club is predominately sail, with a small power fleet. Even so, I’ve had about a dozen people - sail and power owners - to say how they love the look of the R23! Thinking I may switch careers and sell Ranger Tugs! Lol!"

"We love our new 2020 R27 (“Salty Bliss”) that we just took delivery on in March. Our home port is Everett and we made our first voyage up to the San Juan Islands this past weekend, June 25-28. We stayed near Jones Island, had amazing couple of days shrimping around Yellow Is. And then spent a final day/night exploring Matia. We’ve put maybe 75 hours on in just 4 months and couldn’t be happier with the versatility as both a leisure yacht AND fishing boat.
