Just Put deposit on C24

I just put a deposit on a Cutwater C 24 coupe. Just have to do a Sea demo to convince my wife this is the right boat. My previous boat was a 43’ Vista Motor Yacht. So this is a significant downsize. Looking forward to October delivery.

Congrats! That's a significant downsize for sure. I have a 2020 C24 and we love it. It's already proven itself as a great fishing boat and we've cruised all over the Puget Sound on it. I'm not sure where you live but, for us, it's a HUGE advantage to be able to leave Seattle (Elliott Bay) and be in the San Juans in under three hours. Last weekend, we did a quick weekend trip to Alderbrook all the way down the Hood Canal. Not a lot of boats cruise that fast.

My recommendation for immediate upgrades: Raptor Decking for the cockpit, under the table, and in the berth; upgrade the sound system; and replace the Lenco trim tab switch with the Lenco lighted switch. The last one sounds stupid but its a game changer knowing where your tabs are- and I am constantly moving them up/down.
 
Thanks for the great advice. We are in New England. Looking forward to quick trips to Newport, Block Island, etc. today if I don’t do a week it isn’t worth it.

Awesome. This forum has been invaluable to me and will be for you as well as you break her in. You're not new to boating but so probably know - but yachtbedding.com makes a custom mattress topper as well as bedding for the C24. Expensive AF but, I swear, the mattress on our boat is more comfortable than any in both me and my fiance's houses!
