It was quite a weekend for Maureen and I. We flew into Seattle at 7:00 pm Friday night. Jumped into the truck and headed south for Portland. We arrived in Portland at 10:00 pm. After spending the night in Portland, we were off first thing Saturday morning headed south for the Alameda California. We arrived in Alameda at 6:00 pm Saturday evening.

First thing Sunday morning is was off to the marina where Karma is berthed for her pending Sale by Farallone Yacht Sales. We off loaded our remaining gear and readied her for showing to prospective new owners. Once she was empty, it was time to take her out on the bay which could be our last cruise on her.

We headed out at 11:00 am bound for the Golden Gate Bridge. The waters on the bay were placid compared to what we experienced many times on Puget Sound. While we did have swells rolling in from the Pacific, they were space about 15 seconds apart. This made the ride comfortable even by their considerable size. We cruised right up to the bridge and just looked up. What a sight! The bottom of the most famous bridge in the world being viewed from our very own boat! It had been 24 years since we had seen this sight! The last time was from our Catalina 22 Sailboat!

After viewing the bridge, we cruised past Sausalito and then Tiburon. Then we poked our nose into the small cove on Angel Island that houses the mooring balls and park entrance. We cruised around Alcatraz on our way back to the Oakland Estuarary where Karma is now berth.

What a great day spent in an incredible place. From now on, any cruise on Karma could be our last. Neither Maureen or I believe that it will take Patty long to sell Karma. Next week it is off to Denver to find a new home! And the adventure begins!

I will post pictures from our cruise on our web site, Rangertug25-solitude.com this week when I return to Vegas.
