We are taking our C30 to Kentucky Lk, staying at Green Turtle Bay at the end of Oct. for about a week and would like some recommendations about things to do while on the Lake and the Land Between the Lakes.

Any advice would be appreciated. We would also love to meet any other RT or Cutwater owners on the lakes.

Brian and Gina.

If you are trailer launching, Launch at Kentucky Lake and Dam marina. The ramp at GTB is sketchy for a 30, I didn't launch my C26 there after Bill the Harbor Master GTB advised Kentucky Lake and Dam. Patty's settlement is a must stop if it is open. Light House landing Marina stop by and say hi a to Libby and Ron and Libby Johnson TUG O My Heart Ranger 25 and Brenda and Marty Colburn Snap Shot C28 and Own and operate Light House Landing Marina. They could fill you in on all the Hot Spots around Grand Rivers KY. If your are there for a week and want to take a cruise we have cruised the complete Tennessee River from Ohio to Knoxville. Some highlights are in our Blog portageelooper.blogspot.com. There are nice anchorage and Marinas all the way up to Pickwick Lake and beyond.

Be aware that the lakes are now at winter pool 354 — five FEET below summer pool of 359. Cruising is still good, but stay in the channels, especially on Lake Barkley. Kentucky Dam Marina is the best launch spot for certain. They have a huge parking lot and it was free parking for decades, but since the marina has been taken over by Suntex, I think they now charge for overnight parking.

Thanks for the advice and caution about Lk levels.
Brian
