Just wanted to let boat owners and The Factory know, that Kidde Manufacturing has recalled a large number of Fire Extinguishers that have been shown to jam and the handles break in use. I just picked up my new R31, and it was equipped with 3 of the recalled extinguishers. The recalled extinguishers all have Straight (Not Curved) handles with a Vertically oriented Red locking pin... go to their website https://www.kidde.com/home-safety/en/us ... inguisher/ to identify yours. The recall progam works very well... fill out the form on line...they mail you replacements in a few days, and you use the same box for Fedex to come to your home and pick up the old ones....

Thank you for the information Pete. We had been aware and experienced a shortage for some time due to this recall. There were a few other posts regarding this earlier on as well so never hurts to bring it back to the top.
