I have a Kisae Abso battery charger model AC1220 in my R-27. It decided to play dead. I get no lights, no screen prompts - nothing. The rocker switch is on in the helm AC panel and I'm on good shore power. Is there another fuse hidden somewhere that I need to check? Anyone have a similar issue? Thanks.

Todd:

Check to see if there is a 110 gfci receptacle on the Kisae charger/inverter. If so unplug the power cord and check to see of the reset button needs to be reset. Check the manual for the proper reset instructions. This may not be your situation but it has happened to us before on a different brand charger.

Thanks. My Kisae charger and inverter are two separate items. As I suspected, my charger was D.E.A.D. I replaced it last night and it works like a charm. The toughest part was working in the starboard locker. It was hardwired (AC power) and the screen is very difficult to see to program it. The programming itself isn't that hard, once you read the instructions to determine all the settings (battery type, bulk current, absorption to float current, charge mode, temperature select). Hope this one lasts longer than the first one.

I have the same setup but no issues so far. How old was the unit? I'm just wondering how long the warranty is.

My Kisae charger went out a week after I bought my new CW in 2017! Richard sent me a new one. Very tough to put in due to cramped location in starboard cockpit hatch. Took an entire afternoon! Sore ribs the next day!
