Jim:
I'm sadden to say we shall not be able to make the Desolation Sound Cruise this year. I had made plans and had been preparing the boat for several weeks for the trip… but last week our immediate UK family members decided to visit with us over the same period as the Cruise north and I had no choice but to call the various Marinas and cancel our reservations. I'm a bit bummed out out but we don't get to see our UK family that often and with their travel expense etc we've made the right decision.
We will however, make the Sep 5,6,7,8 Rendezvous 2013 at Cap Sante, and hope many of the Tugnuts we miss over next few weeks will be attending that in early Sep.
I guess we could always drive up to Anacortes which is but a 75 minute drive for us before many leave for Ganges this coming week… I hate to miss out on all those "Happy Hours" you are all talking about.
When will you be leaving Cap Sante for Ganges ? The weather forecast for next week is glorious for Tue through to Fri… Full sun with high temps in the low 70s.
If we don't manage a meet up be sure to enjoy the trip with the Ranger Tug Flotilla/Armada to Gorge Harbour… and be sure to take lots of photos to share on your Blog. I'm told that the Military configure their torpedoes to aim for boats with Blue hulls, so you should be safe cruising through Torpedo alley north of Nanaimo in that red hull of yours.
