looking for info on the easiest approach to launching at lake Shasta. Plan on being on lake this fall for a few days. Then on to San Pedro (los Angeles harbor )for three months living aboard in a slip at Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club, were we have members for 33 years.

There are many ramps at Lake Shasta. But Packers Bay is the best option for you. I have launched my C28 there. The ramp is wide and not too steep and there is plenty of parking for your truck and trailer. It’s also just off I-5 on the north side of the lake. I live 5 minutes from the lake. Let me know if I can be of any help to you. I keep mine in Long Beach at Shoreline Marina. Hopefully we will run into each other at Catalina. Cheers

In the fall the water level of Lake Shasta can get pretty darn low. Suggest you check beforehand to ensure the ramps are still usable.
