Looking to trailer to a good launch ramp and spend a week on the Potomac - Hoping to find a good ramp between US 301 and D.C. that will allow (and be safe) to leave truck and trailer. Don't mind paying a marina for storage if that's the best option.

Any input is appreciated!

Ft Washington Marina, about 45 mins south on the river from DC, might accommodate, although low tide doesn't give a lot of room, so you may want to time your launch.

Check out Leesylvania State Park in Virginia. I use it twice a year to drop off and pick up my boat for the season. They have multiple easy-to-use ramps. I have a 28 and I've never had any issue with the tide. You can pay to leave your truck and trailer. They close the gate at night so it should be safe.

I've used Fort Washington Marina a couple of times and it is a bit sketchy as the ramp is quite steep. Almost bottomed out on the concrete after watching many other boaters bottom out. The water is a bit thin but OK during high tide.

Has anyone tried Sweden Point Marina in Smallwood State Park - on the Mattawoman just opposite Leesylvania State Park. Looks like a good option on the map - but never know about steepness of the ramps.
