Hi. I posted this in the ask the factory section, but I was advised to post in the general section as well.
I recently purchased a 2019 R31 CB. On our maiden voyage we had choppy seas which caused spray to hit the windshield pretty forcibly. We noted a substantial leak which seemed to be coming from the middle of the overhead of the stairs that go down to the main cabin (that is, to the left of the helm area).
Just recently, I inspected the area from the outside. When directing a hose to the area of the spotlight mount (see pictures), I was able to re-create the leak. The leak only occurred when the hose was directed to the middle of that area, not to the sides. The mount is screwed onto a sort of cowling which is screwed down to the deck beneath it.
I plan to re-bed the screws of the spotlight mount and the "cowling". I don't want to have to take that whole area aprt.
Has anybody else had this problem? Any ideas to fix it if the screw re-bedding doesn't work?
