So my R29 has water coming in through the head light fixture. I thought it was the porthole , however I’m standing outside the boat in the pouring rain and the outside porthole is bone dry. I notice deck cleat above the porthole and slightly to the left . I wonder if the water could be penetrating the screw holes and coming out through the light fixture in the head .

Anyone have any experience thoughts on leaks?

My Cutwater 30 had a leak that looked like it was from one entry point until we pulled the ceiling liner and found the water entry elsewhere, just flowing with gravity to the other point that was visible from below. The wires that enter through the roof from the nav. lights have a seal around them applied at the factory, but in my case the wires looked like they were pulled a bit to make the connection which left a small opening. The water entered here, followed the ceiling liner in 2 directions and leaked onto the windshield and also down the wall about 5’ aft of the windshield. The factory has been great as the boat is still under warranty, they fixed the leak and also replaced the liner as it was stained and may have mildewed.

Thanks .
My R29, is sitting in drydock, at s full service marina, which is a 2 hour drive and 1 oversized permit away from the nearest Ranger Tug dealer .

I would check the main cable entry for the tower, the nav lights, the VHF cable,

might be easiest to unscrew the ceiling liner and have a look.
