The amber LED cockpit lights on our R29CB are starting to fail. One over the swim platform is completely out and the other is only half lit. I can only read “Made in New Zealand” on the lens but can’t read a brand. I’ve searched the web, but can’t seem to find an exact replacement. Where can I source these?

Also, some of the the amber LED lights on the strips underneath the side window overhangs are starting to fail. I know I have to replace the entire strip. Where can I obtain the exact replacement? Does anyone also know where the access is to splice in a new strip?

Thank you for any help.

Greg

Do you mean the amber courtesy lights? I was able to order a replacement from the Ranger Tugs parts department. Given that it is closing, it would be nice to get a part number for replacements in the future.

The lights on my LED strip are also failing but I haven't cared to replace them or ask the parts department if they carry them.

Yes, I mean the amber courtesy lights. Parts department closing?

Well that stinks - the closing that is. I checked that link you sent for the Ranger Tug LEDs, but none of them are the same as the courtesy lights I have in the cockpit and over the swim platform, I believe. I started to take one of the lights on the platform off, but stopped after it appears that removing the black end pieces that cover the mounting screws seem to get a little damaged when you pry them out. It appears that the assembly doesn't have a replaceable bulb, but again, I didn't take it all the way off. Maybe I will next weekend. Thank you for the link, though.

I was unable to remove the light without damaging the inserts either.

When I got the replacement from Ranger Tugs I asked and were able to send me new plugs as well.
