Good find, thanks! I've ordered three festoons for the nav and anchor lights.
Like you, I'll post how they turn out when they arrive. Shipping for mine was $12.50, which is odd as they're in the same state and being shipped by mail.

Did you guys order "cool" or "warm" white ?

I ordered same as Doug, with "warm" selected. S&H was $10.03 (WA state).

There was no option with the festoons, cool only, but that's what I would have ordered anyway as they're for the nav lights.

Ummm, the Festoons on my R25 have dimpled ends, not pointed...

Some fittings will take both. They usually have a pair of springy contact arms that have a cone pressed into the end which engages with the dimpled type bulb end cap, but the cone also has a hole in its tip which will allow the pointed end type to fit as well.

Somewhere on the site I saw they recommended warm for inside, cool for outside.

I installed the new cabin LEDs and they work fantastic! They are brighter then the G4 10W lights they replaced and use only 2.2W each! Three bulbs replaced and using less power then one of the old bulbs took. Excellent!

I bought a new anchor light LED to replace the anchor light bulb http://www.yachtlights.com/item--1156-LED-Bulb--1156LED and it is amazing how bright it is! I can't find the replacement wattage listed anywhere but even if is the same as the old anchor light (10w) It is worth it just for the brightness. I feel safer already 🙂

I also ordered three lamps and tried to use them to replace my dining area lamps. The leads are shorter than the leads on the incandescent bulbs and too short to make a solid connection with the lamp housing. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Rich,
Are you talking about the bulbs or the entire fixture? I bought all my LED bulbs from Marine Beam and they all fit perfectly. Jeff is a gem and is very accomodating. If you go on line you can basically match your bulb base with the bulbs thay have to offer. If you order something wrong Jeff is good with exchanges. The bulbs come with a 2 year warannty. I had one blow out and he sent a new one and was very apologetic. I believe there is also a discount for us tugnuts if you mention it when you order. I used warm white for my interior bulbs.
Take care,
Mike

Pros: My three festoons were promptly shipped and arrived yesterday. I asked for the 39mm conversion bulb and they fit my Aqua Signal nav and anchor housings with just a little tweak of the contacts (the standard incandescent bulb is about 43mm long). The bulbs are 'cool white', which gives very bright and clean light.

Cons: One of them is a dud, probably due to its loose end cap. I'll see if they'll send a replacement when they open after the weekend.
The second 'con' is something I just find annoying but may not bother most people.
The charge for shipping was $12.60, and they arrived in a simple envelope with a 90 cent stamp on it. 😱

I understand if you have to charge something to offset the cost of the samples, but if that's the case please say so and I'll happily pay it.
Just don't treat me like a dummy and tell me they're free, then mark up the shipping 1400%! :x

OK, rant over, here's the link for the bulbs:

Here is the response that I received from yachtlamps.com;

Good Morning Richard,

I apologize for the pins not being long enough for the application.
Unfortunately we don't have any that have longer pins.

Apex Lighting, Inc.
Petro Ploumis

These were for the interior, round overhead lamps. I measured, and the pins extend 6 mm from the disc. This is not sufficiently long to engage in the sockets in my 2008 R-25. I'm not sure how they worked in Nauti Dream, a 2007 R-25.

I found that the parts from marinebeam.com specify 11mm pins, so they should be fine.

Also, the offer of three free bulbs has been removed from the yachtlamps website.

Rich,
I had to seat them all the way against the connector. They had to line up with the connector and it took a some pressure but they do fit fine and don't move once they are in place. I was a little nervous pushing them in the first time but once I figured it out the others went in fine.

If you don't want yours feel free to send them my way. I'll reimburse your shipping if you want...

They do have this one http://www.yachtlights.com/LED-G4-Mini-Conversion-Bulb_p_577.html, which obviously has longer leads.

The Ranger factory offers the "Complete LED light kit. (No navigation light bulbs)" for the R25SC/R27.

Does anyone know...
1) Is this kit available for the R25 Classic ?
2) What is the wattage difference between stock incandescent bulbs and the complete LED kit ?
