Does anyone have length on trailer measurements for Ranger 29, or 31, or CW 30, or CW 28?

Still researching which boat, but have realized we might end up buying what turns up. That said I'm building a new shop to store it in and don't want to be short, or unnecessarily long.

Cheers, The Bolton Wanderer.

I'll be pulling our R-29 Classic out of the water this week and putting it onto its Boatmaster 36K trailer to get it ready for its new owner who'll be taking it home to Idaho. I'll try to remember to measure its overall length, end-to-end.

My C28 on a trailer takes every inch of a 40 ft building, but the door does close.

Vertigo, where abouts in Idaho is she going?
2 things, yes please do measure it. i realize trailers can differ but just want to be pretty sure what I build works.
second, the 29 classic is the clear winner regards bang for the buck, but the cockpit and general lack of outside seating bothers me. Thoughts?
Cheers TBW.

Pleeson,
Yikes! Thanks' though. I'm thinking 42 feet inside space and realize trailers can differ.. Maybe i should go 44, but i guess trailers can always be modified, maybe a removable tongue.
Cheers,
TBW

You might want to figure some room on each end of the boat for room to maneuver around it. My 27OB on the trailer is 40' long, my building is 44' long. I would not want the building to be any shorter. It is nice to have room at each end of the boat to get around it and not have to climb over or under to get to the other side.

Vicinity of Sandpoint, as I understand it.

On cockpit space, you'll be surprised how usable that cockpit really is. It's very comfortable for two folding chairs, and cozy for three. If you add an inflatable Bote dock to the back of your swimstep, then you'll have enough room for lounge chairs or cocktails for 6 off the back porch.

Many thanks, perfect info.
On another subject, how do you find the cockpit of the 29 Classic? Knowing how we boat, it seems very small.
I ponder if anyone has come up with innovative fold away seating..
??

Many thanks,
TBW

TBW,

The cockpit is adequate for my wife and I...

Last night we entertained another couple and had no problems.

As far as seating goes, we often just sit in the molded “step seats”... although the newer model built in seats are nice.

For more comfort, we have folding seats we purchased from West Marine that work just fine for 2

Hello The Bolton Wanderer,

Looking at our measurements the R-31 on a trailer is 41' long and the beam is 10'. I agree with others that you'll want additional room to maneuver around once the boats tucked away. I'd go 44" long if you're building a new shop. Plus, I've never heard anyone say "I wish I built my shop smaller." You'll fill it up in no time, ask me how I know
