It was good to get down to the Marina today and see "Little Debbie" floating in a slip. I finished the bottom work over the weekend and gave them a green light to launch her this week. I plan to take my first cruise of 2014 on Saturday which will feel good after waking up with new snow on the ground yesterday!

I am glad to hear we are not the only ones in. We went in about a week and a half ago. Still haven't been out of the slip yet, maybe this coming weekend

Ok, so now I am really jealous. I won't make it in for a few more weeks.

Great news on all the 2014 spring launches. We still have ice on Grand Traverse Bay in Traverse City, Michigan....have fun on all if your 2014 maiden voyages.

Glad to here all my RI & CT friends are in and ready to go. Jess & I are on the hard cleaning, waxing and maintenance so we can now enjoy the summer up north. Life is tough when you use the boat year round!

It is that time of year. Just pulled my boat out of the winter warehouse and brought it home. With my Easter Bunny's help, the new batteries, the Airhead toilet and the new anchor will all be installed this weekend. Monday is detail day and I'll be afloat by mid week. Yeah!!!!!

The weather is still looking a bit cold, but maybe we can get out of the slip for a little ride. Summer will be in full swing soon enough. We are really looking forward to the rendezvous this August

Just close the windows and hatches, turn on the heat, and make if feel like Summer in the cabin!

Today is Launch Day for YOLO. 38 degrees F right now, but should be 60s and sunny later.

I took a "3 Hour Cruise" yesterday. It felt good to get back on the water after the cold winter that we had. I cruised down to Wickford harbor, turned around at the public dock, then returned. I tested the Garmin VIRB that I received for Christmas. I started a 2 second time lapse video about 1/2 way to Wickford. It is a little jumpy because of the seas. Note how empty the Marina is when I return to my slip!

When exporting the video I enabled the embedded GPS data that the VIRB recorded to display speed, bearing, and a small track display. The VIRB also records G-Force data in multiple axis, this might be interesting in a real time video during rough seas.
