Hi, I will be taking delivery of a 2019 27 OB in March and the dealer will be installing a 9.9 Kicker. I am wondering if the kicker controls should be installed at the helm, on the transom or??? Suggestions and photos would be most welcome.

Why not wireless? Then you can have the remotes where you are on board, no matter where you mount them it will not be where your are when the big one starts zinging line off your reel, and you need to slow the boat!

I think the wireless system would be more costly and perhaps not as reliable. I am thinking that the transom is the best location for the kicker controls but interested to hear what others have done.

I've got the Panther wireless control for my kicker, which is great in that I can control it from wherever I am on the boat. For how I'll use the kicker, having the remote with me wherever I am on the boat is best. Others may have a different take.

I don't, however, have throttle control with the Panther... it's for steering only. Is throttle control an add-on I should have gotten, and/or is it something I can add? That would be awesome!

Go to Troll Master web site, if you all ready have the Panther wireless remote all you should need is the servo unit to the carb on the kicker

I surely will! Thanks for the info!
