how do I find the transducer on a 2015 ranger 27, I have checked in the transom no luck. If it is locater forward, how do I access it?

We had a 2015 R25SC which was built almost the same way as the R27 in that year. The transducer was at the very stern of the boat on the starboard side of the prop pocket, just a few inches forward of the transom. If you take out the liner/tray under the seat in the cockpit it should be visible. With long arms you can reach it.

Thanks for your response, I looked in that area and didn't find any thing. I will check again but I think I will come up empty. I have read about some boats have the transducer further forward under the frig or in that area. I am hoping that I can find it as I believe it needs some fluid, sonar is not showing depth and the screen just flashes .

Any one else with any assistance will be appreciated

probably a stretch but on our 2013 R25SC, the transducer is under the fridge. The fridge is on rails and the transducer is accessible once you pull the fridge out. It is easy to pull the fridge out and no harm if its not there.

We found our trbasducer in the forward berth sort of next to the shwer sump. Problem is the thing is located completely under the flooring with practically no access. But Bryan at RT managed to get his hand in there and undo the 6 - out 'em 6 - teensy screws so we could add the RV coolant. It all works just fine but access is a huge problem.

In our 2017 RT25SC it is at the very aft end of the starboard cockpit locker. Quite accessible.

2014 R27 here. Transducer is as S. Todd describes. Lift out the tray under the stern seat. Starboard side a bit under the waste tank. Can’t see it unless you really get down there. I reach down with my phone camera and shoot a photo to see it.
