longevity of professional ceramic coat/ ease of upkeep

I have a Ranger Tug 29S 2016 and plan to have a professional ceramic coating applied by Kevin out of Everett. I know Kevin has been doing this ceramic coating for a number of years and gets great reviews. . I am interested in knowing the "real world" longevity of the ceramic coating to ensure that it is worth the upfront cost. The current quote is 2-3 years, up to "5 years or more with good care" but have any of you had the ceramic coating longer and does it still look and perform great? Have you kept up with the every 6 months post ceramic coating care with hydroserum, etc? Do you keep your boat in a boat house or under a canvas in the winter? I want to do everything I can to maintain the ceramic coating for as long as I can. Any other recommendations?

Finally, it was recommended that you use ionized water to wash the boat and a leaf blower to dry the boat to prevent water spots. Are any of you doing this and if not are you having problems with water spots?

Hi Kathy,
I've had mine on for only 2 years so can't answer the main question.
My boat is in the water all year long and I use Seattle city water to wash it and drip dry. Haven't noticed any water spotting. My hull is red, so spots would show.

Avellana had his boat originally coated by Kevin, 4.5 years ago. Then had it re-done this year. This is real world. Rich who owns the R29 in this video, doesn't wash his boat often, nor does he use the after-care.

I do use the Ceramic Coating after-care on Channel Surfing. My coating is 2.5 years old and she still looks great.

I had Kevin do my R23 in June of '20, so we're coming up on our 4th year. It looks amazing still, and water seems terrified of the hull 😎 so it runs off like me when the buffet opens!

I'm on the hard at Dagmars, and am situated such that the bow gets pummeled with UV rays during the summer. Out of an abundance of caution, mostly because I've had badly oxidized gel coat on my last boat, I had him re-do just the bow at the end of last season. It still shed water like new, but I'm just too cautious. :roll:

While I am usually tardy in applying the upkeep serum (which is super easy, btw), it still shines like new!

Best investment ever!
