I am enthusiastically searching for a R29S, 2013-2014 preferred. Accustomed to a Regal Commodore used extensively on the Ohio River. The Ranger R29S appears to fit our needs for doing the Loop in a much more economical fashion.
Preferred options would be: Reverse cycle Heat-A/C; Aft factory installed Grill w/ice maker.
Appreciate any help you might offer...

Hi IMiller,

By coincidence my last boat was a 2005 Regal Commodore 3560 (now called the 3760). What model did you have? I well understand about the desire for a more economical boating experience - it's was one of the factors that led me to my R29 CB. I bought it in the fall of 2016 and it's a great boat! I regularly go over to Catalina for long weekends on it 🙂

BTW I believe that the R29S was introduced in 2015. Prior to that it was simply the R29. There are significant differences in the layout of the two boats.

We enjoyed Commodore 256 I/O Dual Prop. A great trailerable vessel for weekend river excursions. Towed 2 PWC behind for wave jumping just Incase the need arose (2 teenage men at the time). Life styles change, as every day is now a Saturday. “Loop” is bucket list item...the Ranger appears to be a great “pocket cruiser”

Hi imiller,
Just so happens there's a 2015 R29S for sale at my yacht club here in San Diego. All I know is it's listed by CFB Marine brokerage. Name of the boat is Magnolia and it's the red hull. From the dock, the boat seems to be in good shape, just got back from the yards. we're across the marina in our R27. Having done a stretch of the intracoastal in a sailboat many years ago, I think the Ranger Tug is the ideal boat for a loop excursion. I sure would like to do one.
BTW: My bride happens to be a transplanted Indianapolis girl.
