Looking to get aboard a R31CB

Hello all,

I am very interested in the 31CB but have not had the opportunity to get aboard one. I was wondering if anyone here keeps their 31 anywhere near Bainbridge Island, WA and would be willing to show off their boat.

I also have a question about the interior upholstery, I have noticed, with a few of the older boats that are for sale, that they have some fairly serious damage to the upholstery. Is this common with an older RT?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I expect you'll get many offers but here are a couple of other ideas.

If you call the factory dealer, I'm sure they would show you one at the delivery center at the Des Moines marina. Or, if you really want to see a lot of them, get to Roche Harbor, September 5-8 for the 200 boat Ranger Tug rendezvous 🙂 Or the displayed dealer boat that I would expect to see at the Seattle Boats Afloat show, Sept 12-15.

As for upholstery, my understanding is that the vinyl at least on older boats tended to age quickly. But I don't know at what age, or what remedies might prevent it. (There are older threads here if you search.)

We have had our 2015 R31-CB (LE) for nearly 4 years now. We keep it in Lake Union when not cruising the sound. We use it regularly for ourselves along with our 2 adult kids and their 6 kids. Our upholstery is practically like new but I have seen older boats with issues.
