The vinyl ceiling panel in the forward berth, port side has become loose and the part of the panel over the light fixture is now resting on the fixture. I can't tell what kind of fasteners are under the vinyl covered buttons...can someone help me out with some advice before I pull down on the panel? Thanks.

They will be square drive self taping screws under the vinyl buttons. Pry the "lid" off the buttons and you will see the screws.

Thank you kindly.

If they have pulled loose you may need to fill the old screw hole with a small piece of wood ( wooden match stick ) so the screw can hd again... Adding a bit of glue wouldn't hurt either
Good luck

Phil,
What are you doing on that boat? Creaking hulls and falling V-berth Liners??? Take it easy man. What cologne do you use? I have to get me some of that!!

Mike, I do have a new lady in my life....hmmm, there may be a connection. Whoops...I should have phrased that differently.
