We got her launched about 2:00 in the afternoon. Run out a ways in the river and back in to warm up the engine. It is now 6:00 am Tuesday morning. The bride and Pooh Bear are still sleeping. Got the Crusinart 12 volt coffee pot perking away. Should be ready in an hour or so. :x
Should be heading out about 7:30 . Must be about 5 to 10 miles out to the marker, then about 41 to Tarpon Springs. The start of the Gulf InterCoastal. Weather window looks good for this short outside run. I hope no more cold fronts like the last one. One night we had a temperature of 16 degrees.
The overall tenative plan is to take our time going down to the keys stopping at all places of interest. We regret the late start as we may miss Frank and Pam of the Tuggin Aweigh. The plan to stop at Bob Guth's dock has been canceled due to Bob having a stroke. We hope and pray he got the care right away. We are pulling for him and ask all tuggers to do the same.
The late start might prevent us from getting to the Abacos to meet our Son-in Law and Daughter and their friends.
So that being the case. on the 1st of April the Lucky Fin will be in Palm Beach. Again, I am going to trade Dee for my fishing buddy and head for the Bahamas. Anyone wanting to cross with us is welcome.
Tonight ( After todays run ) I will start a new thread Called "Keys and Beyond". This will be done for any Tugnuts who have nothing else to do with their time. Hopefully it will be with no complaining about breaking down and getting towed in. And no 10 ft. waves breaking over the bow.
Ok, now to see if the coffee is ready.
