After spending time looking at log books and not meeting our needs, I finally created two log books (cruise log and a maintenance log) for the "Nellie Too" that hopefully includes all the information we want to keep on our boat in one location. Besides it is fun looking back at where you have been, the cost of the moorage, how much fuel was, etc.

The maintenance book includes sections for boat information, equipment, parts, maintenance (engine, generator, other) fuel, radio, and notes. The cruise log includes sections for daily cruising, marina/moorage, restaurant, wine, catch, recipes, and notes. Both log books have around 100 pages printed back to back which give you plenty of room to keep track of everything. Also, some of the sections have clip art added for additional interest. (If I have to keep two log books, then I want it to be fun and not boring or tedious to do.) I have posted pictures in our album showing both book covers and table of contents.

Each book can be customized for your boat including a picture of your boat on the front cover, the name and owner of your boat, plus maybe one or two other places where I can insert a picture.

Somebody asked about the size of the log books I am selling. They are 8 1/2" by 10" long and are spiral bound.

I have wanted to add my comment about your engine log books, since I purchased mine ... a couple weeks back.

The quality, both in materials and design ... as well as, artistic touch - is excellent. I have found your engine log book to be complete and many times better than the other versions, available in the market place.

I also appreciate Nita's offer to insert a photo of my personal boat ( R29 Sporty II) ... as her contribution to making my log book super special!

We received both our Cruising Log and Maintenance Log today. Can’t tell you how beautiful they are. They are so complete. The Cruising Log is easy and fast to complete and there is room for comments so you can write as much as you like. There is also a place to record Marina information, restaurants, and many other things that you may want to look up about your cruise. The Maintenance Log is full of information, specific for Ranger Tugs. And, when you inter the information about your boat, you will have all the information you will need all in one book. There is even a list of engine parts and their numbers. And, in addition to being useful, the Logs are personalized with pictures of our boat. I know we will enjoy keeping them and looking back at all the wonderful memories. Thank you, Bob and Nita.

Maria and I received the log books the other day and Maria could not put the Cruise Log down ! She loved the way you put the photos that I sent you in the book! I know that it will make our days on the water more fun knowing that we will always be able to look back at all of the Cruise Log memories! I liked the Guest Log section of the Cruise Log!

A Maintence or Cruise Log book is a great way to keep all information in one place about your boat. After many people commenting and giving me input on the log books, I have added additional photos in our album. 🙂 (I am sorry but the photos are not in sequential order - I don' know how to move the photos.)

While at West Marine in Seattle, the manager gave me a great idea about selling log books. So I have made additional changes to the process. You can now customize your own log book with the sections you want. You can have one log book or two log books, etc. 😀

To All (especially the new members):
I just received the Maintenance/Cruise log book that Nita made for me. What a great job she did! I had the both books combined, since I was afraid that I would probably lose one or the other, and it looks great. She added several photos that I had sent her, along with some nice captions and kept in close email contact until she was sure of what I wanted in the book. I strongly encourage anyone with a new Ranger (and those of you who have an older model but not a log book) to contact Nita and order one. Last summer was my first on "Waite & Sea" and I am still transposing into the new log book the little notes that I had written on anything I could find to write on. Get one before you start your boating season! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
