I am the relatively new owner of a 2019 R-31. On our maiden voyage a few weeks ago, in rough seas, we noted a major leak coming from the area of the overhead of the stairs going down to the main cabin. We were taking pretty good seas striking the windshield.
Later, to isolate the leak i directed a hose to the area outside just aft of the spotlight mount. The mount is attached by 4 screws to a sort of cowling which in turn is attached by several screws to the underlying deck (see pictures).
Before I tear everything apart, I'm looking for some advice. Is the "cowling" sealed to the deck (I don't seem to have any leak when I direct the hose to the right or left of the center line). Should I simply re-bed the screws? Any other advice?
Thanks
