I'm interested in installing a lift on the R-29 for my tender and kicker where the kicker pivots and is always in the vertical position and always attached to the tender. I've seen a Sea Wise that bolts onto the swim grid and looks like you can use existing davits.

Does anyone own one of these systems or something similar? Appreciate any views on these systems--both positive and negative.

Several of us have the Pacer Lift which stores the dingy on the top. You can look at it on our picture site or Shared Dreams site. We love the system. A power lift that can launch or retrieve from either side. We like to keep the transom step free. We,however, keep our kayaks on the top and use a strap system for our inflatable on the stern. The strap system costs us about $100.00 but Nita made it on her sewing machine. You can look at this system also on our photo album.

Thanks for the info Bob. Is the Pacer Lift commercially available? Do you have a contact? I have to get my kayak on top as well as I have a solar panel up there. It may only be possible with some custom stainless to allow me to "stack" above the solar panel (on either side of the solar panel...without diminishing it's effectiveness).

The system is built in Bothell by Sharp Industries. You can call Jeff Messmer to get more details. If you get down to Anacortes, I would be happy to show you mine. If the system is no longer available through Ranger Tugs, give me a call at (360) 293-0003 or send me a message.
