We are planning on trailering our boat down to Florida this winter but are looking for references on marinas. We are looking at the East coast north of Ft. Lauderdale which accommodate smaller boats and are reasonably priced. Ideas?

It’s been three years ago since we were last there but I used to keep my boat on a long term lease at Loggerhead Marina in Stuart, Florida. Very nice facility. Later I went month to month. One nice thing is that Loggerhead is a chain. As members we had reciprocal use agreements with other Loggerhead marinas and could use them for free on our trips further south. Only had to pay for electric.

These are a few marinas in that area that we have liked:

Sunset Bay Marina & Anchorage in Stuart

LoggerHead Marina in Palm Beach Gardens

Old Port Cove Marina in North Palm Beach

Four Fish Marina in Jensen Beach. Located right off the ICW, 2 miles north of the St. Lucie inlet, the public boat ramp is a block away, and it is the headquarters of Pocket Yacht Company Company Florida so the marina is familiar with the brand.
