Is it common for these to fail after 6 years? Mine will still power on, but will not rotate left/right. Up/down seems to still work. Is replacing it difficult? I don't love that it's not LED, the halogen seems weak, would like a better alternative.

We just purchased a 2017 R 29. The survey found the search light similar to yours, working fine but not going up and down. Not sure what they did but the seller had a mechanic fix it and I got the impression it was a quick and easy fix. Works great now. Possibly just some lubrication. Might want to spray some wd40 on it before spending a lot of money to replace it.
 
Thanks. Will take a look. Not a super critical item but nice to have if we need it. 🙂
