Hi there - We just bought a 2013 R-31S model that did not come with any manuals 🙁.

My question is - how do you tell the level of the waste tank? The electric marine head doesn't have any info on this does it? Do you just look in the tank (if this is possible)?? This is an older boat so the new ones are probably different.

Thanks!

The Dometic control panel to flush is supposed to change to yellow and red LED lights when flushed. In my experience, I've never seen them change color, and I've even manually filled up the holding tank with water until it was overflowing to test it. It never seemed to work for me. I did look to make sure that sensors were on the tank in the front bilge (under the berth, under the white wood panel) but besides that, I haven't done any additional troubleshooting. You can see the level of the tank while looking at the sensors here with a flashlight but it isn't easy/accurate/convient

If you have luck, let me know, if not, others have installed additional sonar sensors to the tank with their own display/reader

edit: Just read that it was 2013 - there might be some differences from 2018 that I have - I don't know when they switched to using an electric flush Dometic for the toilet in the front head.

If you have access to the waste tank, you can just put a flashlight to the top/side of it.

2011 R 29 the toilet doesn’t add water but the display is on and it flushes but no water is added.. any suggestions on that issue.. thanks in advance

Is the raw water seacock open? (Assuming it is using that instead of a fresh water conversion.)

I have the same model and year boat.

The flush switch panel turns yellow when the tank is 1/2 full and red when it is nearing the full. When you see red, you'll just get to flush a few more times until it shuts down and stays that way until pumped.

The tank is under the main bed. If you shine a flashlight in the translucent white plastic top of the tank and lean into the access area, you can see the level from the side. While you are there, you'll see the level sensors stuck to the forward side of the tank. One of mine came loose, so I duct taped it back on and it works fine.

No Water in head is most likely a failed water pump. Maybe a clogged line.
