Hi Tugnuts!
Q: Marine railway or marine lift or "jet floats" or...??
I keep my Ranger Tug 21EC on Bayfield Sound, a large inlet off Lake Huron North Channel. The water
can be rough, the wind onshore wind is pretty constant and can be strong. Leaving the tug in the water
an option but maybe not ideal?
The lake bottom is rock and sand and fairly gradual, hitting 36" depth (draught is 24") about 40 feet out.
The marine railway is therefore quite costly, while the marine lift would entail a wet walk/swim.
Any experience or recommendations on docking greatly appreciated.
Thank you from So Nauti and her crew.
Regards,
Jim
