mase 2.5 gen

Just purchased this 2008 ranger 25 with a mase 2.5 generator. Any hints on starting it up and checking it out ? I plan on changing the oil in the near future. Never had one so I'm a complete novice as to it's operation.

Push the "on" button, you will hear the pump start up. I find that I have to leave the pump run until it shuts off. Then I push the "on" button again, wait 5 seconds and push the start button. It takes my unit a while to get the fuel up to the engine.

I have a new to me 2007 R25 that has had the 2.5 Mase generator removed. The parts all seem to be here but it would be nice to have some pics of the generator and associated plumbing. Can you help?

I have a few pictures in my album that might help - I’m not sure what your looking for. The muffler is located outside of the Genset compartment. Note that changing the oil filter ( I believe it’s not a disposable one) is not easy due to the difficult access. Make sure you retighten the filter. Mine was not tightened and therefore leaked until I removed the Genset and then discovered it was not tightened.

Thanks, those pictures would be great. Looks like he replaced the battery box and extended it over the gen set mounts.
