Mast head white light lamp change

I recently pulled the green nav light cover just to see what lamp it takes to have a replacement on hand.
I tried to do the same for the mast head white light, but the 3 nuts just spin as if the bolt heads are not held secure.

Am I missing something, or is it time for the nut cracker?
If I'm not missing something, why, FM, is this happening?

I'm not sure if we have the same light... mine are all Aqua Signal series 25. The masthead white light comes apart by gently rotating the entire lens and cap assembly counter clockwise.. the lens and cap remain connected.

Just tried that today. It was a tough turn to loosen, but did the trick. Thanks!
