Ready for winter storage... but when I lower the mast, the seach light lens rests on the cabin brow. Any suggestions?
Thanks...

I assume E-21 is a finger typo? Maybe I've missed a new modification? I trailor my R-21 all the time. I just try to remember to make sure I position the light correctly by operating it thru its range to the safe side. Winterizing- easier still, there is only one spring loaded pin holding the two hinge points and the whole assembly on the structure fwd when you fold. Befor rotating the plastic nuts off the mast, disconnect electrical plug, fold mast and pull the one safety pin that prevents the hingepins from sliding to port. You can slide off the mast sideways in seconds and its done. Store anywhere, its not gonna wear a hole in your cover by buffetting in the wind. Good luck.

Thanks Roger, but my 2009 EC has a foreward folding mast. The photo of your mast is different than mine. Anyone else have my problem? Also, there appears to be no way of detaching and removing the mast. I may construct a tripod for support.

Strega - Kamalani is a 2009 model as well and yet I dont seem to have a problem with spotlight clearance. My light is always stowed in the forward/down position. However, we also have a 18" radome up there as well, and that required a slightly longer support strut than the one supplied by factory. When towing we also experienced a lot of side to side swing with the mast, and I made up a second strut mounted on the opposite side which allowed the mast to be more stable.

My mast folds forward as yours does, and I can't understand the spotlight issue unless you are not using the support strut.
