Mast too high for boathouse - can it be trimmed down?

Is it possible to trim down the mast a few inches so it can fit in and out of the Boathouse? Its the 2012 Ranger Tug 29. It is only a couple of inches too high occasionally so we have to lower the whole mast/stack.
 
Hey there Bob & Kate,

You could certainly have a stainless welder cut down the mast and take some height out of it. I don't have a good custom outfit that I know of but I am sure it could easily be done.
