I've begun a replacement project for the ceiling for the coach roof over the door of my C-26. Thanks for the suggestions and photos of similar projects here on Tugnuts!!! It's been a very rainy springtime here on the Chesapeake, and several times I've boarded the boat, only to be showered by heavy dripping from the now rotted teak/holly overhead... Today I removed the panel and sprayed water around the various fittings to determine the source of the leak. One, and hopefully the only significant leak, is the fitting where the wiring from the mast enters the roof. I unscrewed it and looked as carefully as I could without a ladder, and everything appears in good order... the puck seems tight on each wire, and the two white parts mate tightly (although I was a little surprised that there wasn't a gasket, but I can't imagine that would allow a significant amount of water to penetrate). I'm planning to just add some sealant to the area around the wires and hope for the best - and to include ventilation holes in my new starboard ceiling - but am throwing this open to suggestions!
