Measurement top fridge R21EC

I just found a winter project to do while the tug is in storage. I am going to build a cabinet to fit on top of the fridge on my 21ec.

Is there someone that has the time to go and measure the countertop over the fridge and the height from the counter to the porthole right above the fridge for me?

This would be really nice 😉

Pat, I was on the boat this morning and I remembered your post ......... standing in front of the fridge, the top area is 14 " deep X 17 " wide and it is 20" to the bottom of the porthole flange ..... any higher than that and the cabinet would interfere with the opening of the port. I have found a cabinet in the photo album of jayfrommontreal, go check it out 21ec owner, it's nice, yet not too big.

I sent an email to this owner because I wanted to know if it was custom made or bought as is. never got an answer from the owner yet. I'll construct mine base on this model

Two killicks, that is a nice cabinet design you found on the photo album of jayfrommontreal. If you ever hear from jayfrommontreal as to if the cabinet is custom or bought as is, please let us know.
I'm not a wood worker so I would have to have a cabinet made.

I went online to calculate how much it would cost me to build a similar cabinet made of marine teak wood (without a backwall)
I comes to 210.00$ US + taxes + shipping. found the teak on this website: www.buckwoodcraft.com, a Florida based supplyer.

Noah's marine in Toronto will supply all your marine products you would need to make your cabinet. All types of plywood and solids in various types of wood. They sell it all. I have used then many times when fixing many different boats.

FYI - if your lumber supplier has genuine mahogany, it is usually much less expensive to purchase and with clear finish coordinates well with existing teak trim. Secondly, if you buy rough sawn teak and have to plane it yourself you will find it is considerably more abrasive than most woods and will dull your tools' edges faster.
