Measuring antifreeze level in penta engine

2019 c28. The engine manual shows how to check the af level by reading the max min inside the fill point. Even with a strong flashlight I find it impossible to see those marks. Any suggestions?

Is this the D4-320? The manual says "Fill the coolant all the up to the start of the cap throat". There is a picture of the cross section, which seems to show the top of the expansion tank. The manual does not reference any markings. You can download the manual at

Thanks Maggie—I have the d4 260hp and the manual shows the cap on the expansion tank with the max min marks on the fill port. However the marks are impossible to see even with a flashlight that is my problem.
